Hello! I’m really glad you’re here. My name’s Jack and I’ve been a music teacher and student mentor for the past 11 years. I’ve also been a performing and recording artist in bands of most genres (from Jazz and Soul to Country and Death Metal), across Australia for over 15 years.
In this time, I’ve learnt a lot about what has kept me stuck in my progress as a guitarist, bassist, and vocalist and also what has held many of my students back in their own progress. I have seen time and time again that the beliefs we hold about ourselves and our ability on our instrument is usually the main reason we either stagnate in our progression, or give up entirely.
This obviously carries far beyond learning an instrument and ripples into the rest of our lives.
This is why I have created Music & Mastery. Here, I am creating simple pre-recorded lessons for you to consume at your leisure which will get you either playing your first songs, or advancing in your practice. I offer plenty of downloadable materials to assist in your learning and also weekly reflections and guidance in the membership portal.
I am available for 1.on.1 feedback via videos/messages and also 1on1 lessons for live tailored feedback and support. Get in touch to organise 1on1’s. Prices are lower for those who are Music & Mastery members.
I am SUPER passionate about you kicking goals as a human being and a musician. I am sure you will be able to build more confidence, skill and enjoyment in your practice and creations through your instrument with these teachings.
Each instrument and discipline has its own unique techniques, priorities, and roles in music. I am creating a seperate stream for each. Guitar and Bass share some cross-over material yet there are some very distinct differences in how the instruments are approached on the whole.

I pride myself in offering something real. Something tangible. That’s why I offer 1.on.1 sessions and direct feedback for everyone in my Music & Mastery program. I’m not interested in showing you videos of techniques, chords, and songs with no follow-up. It works for some, but I know humans learn best with honest feedback, support, and mentorship. This is what makes people great no matter the discipline or craft.
This is real feet on the ground music education (as honest as I can make it in the digital age…) aimed at helping humans of all ages and abilities to reach their highest potential.
